How do our products contribute to reducing climate change?

Sun LIKE! World LIKE!

Or the dirty side of beauty

The cosmetics industry worldwide produces over 120 billion packages each year. Most of them are not recyclable. The global cosmetics market generates a turnover of 341 billion dollars, and in 2030 it is expected to almost double. Paradoxically, the beauty industry is a huge source of pollution on the planet, thanks to the packaging it uses. Since the 1950s, when large-scale plastic production began, only 9% of the world's packaging has been recycled. The plastics industry is on track to outpace coal energy production, and packaging made from hydrocarbons contributes as much to air pollution as car exhaust. All this has an impact on climate change on the planet and leads to an increase in greenhouse gases. The "greenhouse effect" is causing the Earth's temperature to rise at an unusual rate and to significant climate change. Warming by 1.5 ° C will have serious and even irreversible consequences for the environment, our societies and people around the globe, scientists say.

Yes, by using cosmetics on a daily basis, we are polluting the environment and this is not news. But instead of giving up tubes and bottles, it is better to learn how to reduce the carbon footprint and environmental problems, how to make our daily lives safer for nature.

We have improved the cosmetic formulas of our eco-designed Sun Like sunscreen series.
We "packed" it in climate-neutral tubes of certified cardboard.

We understand the skin and take care of it

We have improved the sun protection formulas "Sun Like" - for healthy and safe protection, they are of a new, improved generation. We have added gentle broad-spectrum sunscreens that instantly protect against burns. They provide safe and secure protection.

We have created the most clean and light formulas without homosalate and octocrylene, which according to the European Commission are not safe for the body. We have enriched the products with beta carotene for intensive and safe bronzing. Provitamin is a source of natural vitamin A, it is also a powerful antioxidant that tightens, smoothes the skin and helps even complexion. Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that provides very good hydration. It is an antioxidant that preserves collagen and keeps skin smooth and supple. The textures protect gently and effectively, hydrate deeply and prevent the effect of photoaging.

Sun Like products meet the most important condition - health above all. They are a reliable shield that protects against UVA rays, provoking allergies and UVB rays - the main culprits for pigmentation and burns.

Cardboard tube

Do you think that is not possible? Check out the new packaging of the Sun Like series. We used the most modern technology in Europe, developed on the basis of bio-based, recycled and certified kraft (reinforced) cardboard. Plastic is reduced by 48% compared to existing solutions. The caps are eco slim and contain 50 to 100 fewer plastics. In addition, they are fully recyclable - ie. ready for a second life after processing.

We apply the green philosophy Reuse - Reduce - Recycle for the packaging of children's sunscreen products, as well as for the cooling after sun gel lotion "Sun Like". All of them are in the Green Leaf tube, which reduces the impact on the environment - by 37% less harmful emissions and 17% lighter weight. It is made from 100% recyclable material, certified by the Association of Plastics Processors, which is suitable for re-use in production, without residues.

"Climate neutrality" is the brand's commitment to the carbon pollution of nature left by our products. Each of us leaves his mark on the planet - its size depends on: the energy we use, the food we eat, the clothes we buy and the way we travel. The human footprint affects living and non-living nature.

The sand lily became a symbol of the eco campaign of "Sun Like"

Pollution of beaches is one of the main reasons why the beautiful Sand Lily is included in the Red Book of Endangered Species, it is under the protection of the Biodiversity Act.

It is said to be one of the most impressive species in nature. If there was a competition for the most beautiful flower in the Mediterranean region and southern Europe, it would be the Sand Lily (Pancratium maritimum L.), or “Sea Daffodil.” It belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family. exotic and very delicate scent of lily, which becomes more noticeable on windless summer nights. It is pollinated by a specific type of insect called the hawk moth, which visits it only when the wind speed is below 2 meters per second.

According to legend, the flower is sung in the biblical Song of Solomon. It is also believed that this plant was given to Odysseus by Hermes to protect him from magic spells.

Unfortunately, nowadays the Sand Lily is an endangered species. The marine edelweiss-like beauty can rarely be seen on the southern Black Sea coast.

Let's keep the beaches clean to preserve the rare species!
